Laura Klein was a beloved funeral director, coworker, and wife of Schramka's Regional Director of Operations, John Klein. Laura started donating blood as soon as she turned 18. She donated religiously until she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer on June 26, 2019, at which time she was no longer permitted to donate blood. Her husband John took her place as a donor from that point forward and has been donating blood ever since! Laura believed in the importance of donating blood and saving other people's lives. She herself had to receive several transfusions during the course of her chemotherapy, which is the reason she was able to continue in her treatments. Laura passed away on April 22, 2022 and ever since, her husband John, and their friends and family continue to donate blood in her honor! Please donate blood May 15th to save lives in honor of Laura.
